Sara Weiss brings 26 years of experience in clinical operations leadership to the executive team of Caravan Biologix Inc., where she oversees the strategic planning, design, and execution of clinical trials from early-phase through FDA approval. As Senior Clinical Operations Consultant, Ms. Weiss draws on a career spent building clinical operations groups from the ground up, with particular expertise in oncology and cell & gene therapy.

Throughout her career, Ms. Weiss has built and led high-performing clinical teams at several biopharmaceutical companies, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations at Verismo Therapeutics, where she directed clinical program management for CAR-T therapies targeting solid tumors and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. She has held senior clinical operations leadership roles at Syntimmune, TransMedics, and Kadmon Pharmaceuticals, where she built a clinical operations group from scratch, hiring a 17-member team and overseeing a portfolio of more than a dozen clinical trials spanning oncology, polycystic kidney disease, GVHD, lupus, and psoriasis.

Ms. Weiss has managed Phase 1 through Phase 3 clinical trials across domestic and international sites, with deep expertise in vendor and CRO selection and negotiation, budget and timeline management, and regulatory compliance. She has authored clinical SOPs, protocols, Investigator Brochures, and Annual Reports supporting numerous IND submissions, and has consistently delivered clinical programs on time and on budget while maintaining rigorous standards for data integrity and patient safety.

Since 2002, Ms. Weiss has also run her own independent consulting practice, SWW Clinical Consulting, advising biopharmaceutical companies on establishing clinical operations functions and managing clinical trial execution.

Ms. Weiss earned her M.S. in Biology/Neurobiology from Boston University, completed a Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Med program at Columbia University, and holds a B.A. in Legal Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
